*Sephiroth gets down into his low-gravity fighting stance (or as others call it, 'on the toilet'). he closes his eyes and begins to focus. his hair shoots up, creating a huge vertical spike that shoots through the maw of one of the approaching pit fiends. his eyes turn a bright green, and lightning begins shooting out of his body. lightning strikes the other pit fiends, blowing it back against the wall. Sephiroth returns to normal posture, but remains powered up. suddenly, quicker than anybody can see, he teleports behind the pit fiend and kicks it in the side of the head. it goes flying across and smashes into the gate of the fighting pit. Sephiroth teleports again, this time jamming his Masamune into the side of the pit fiends head. it goes straight through, killing the pit fiend forever. when it falls, they both dissolve into magical dust as they were destroyed in the Abyss*

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.
