All the radio stations have urged us in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area to go outside our front doors with candles tonight, start at 7:00pm. Done! Stood outside, shivering a bit (Can't believe the drop in temps today! brrr!) for about an hour. About five other houses along our street did the same. They say they are going to fly over the area at 11:00pm tonight, to take pictures of all our candles. I have three going right now on my front step. Kinda windy tonight, so I put the candles in cleaned bean cans LOL. Hey, whatever keeps the fire burning you know?
God Bless America, and God Bless all the Victims and their Families, we all mourn your loss, even though it may not be ours. We mourn nevertheless because we feel the loss of another human being, we see your anguish, we see your photos, we know your loss, and we weep with you.
Sorry, I think all this is starting to finally sink into me. It is feeling way more real now. I find tears falling from my eyes out of nowhere. I hate feeling like this, knowing there was nothing I, nor anyone, could have done to help save these victims. I was just another person fleeing in fear from D.C. on Tuesday. Again, sorry, I'm just feeling really sad right now, is hitting me just how many people died.
