One of the many sad stories emerging from Tuesday's events is of an Irishman who received a phone call from his brother to say that he had been in the WTC but had escaped unharmed when the first plane hit. He then received another call from his brother to say that their sister and niece had been leaving Logan airport on a flight to Los Angeles at around 7.30am. They had been on one of the planes.
