Okay, okay. Point taken. It doesn't surprise me if I flubbed the "fields"/"fjords" thing. It's been a while since I've actually seen that one. But, truthfully, it SOUNDED like he said 'fields'. Then again - for years I thought Obi-Wan had said (upon the destruction of Alderaan) "it's as if millions of OYSTERS cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced". Cracks me up every time I think of it. I heard it wrong in the theater and then STILL heard in wrong several times after my Dad bought the movie. Of course, in 1977, I was only 8 years old - but still: millions of OYSTERS!

I must be losing my mind...Oh wait! Did I ever have one of those?

I have to admit I've been saying the fields/fjords to myself and in a London accent there is absolutely no difference in the sound. No wonder English is so hard to learn.

Mind you I don't think Slartibartfast would get an award for his 'fields'
