It's the nature of humanity that seriousness and lightheartedness flow from one to the other. I quite like Mithril Hall - where I lurk and occasionally post, but I don't like the idea of separating out the so called 'serious' topics.
I like to look down the page and switch between serious and 'other'- spare a thought for those of us with 56k modems - it takes ages to switch between the fora - minutes and minutes waiting for the topic page to load!
If anyone doesn't like the political discussions, it's usually easy enough to see which they are so they can be avoided.

Anyway *snicker* I agree with er...Yorick too; I like the way it's separated at the Mithril Hall, because it works perfect over there. However I don't think it would work here, I think many people really appreciate the diversity of topics here, and I am definitely one of them. Plus I also think one can easily avoid topics that one doesn't like. I mean, what's so hard about NOT clicking on the thread that says "Serious question:" or "What do you think about...:"
EDIT: and before I forget the topic here: I love this forum, and think its members and moderators are THE BEST!!!
