Their native habitat? I see you failed to note that the dingo is/was a hunting dog
introduced by the Aboriginies. This "native" dog wiped out the Thyacaline (Tasmanian Tiger) from mainland Australia.
Besides this is an example of bad knee-jerk political decision making, not overpopulation.
