It has been a while since I have checked up on them, but
GSCS, formerly GRiD, has some of the most durable laptops on the planet. Browsing their site, I don't get the feeling they are as up-to-date in terms of processing power as those you are already looking into, but they are definitely the way to go for laptops that last.
