Holy Freaking Crap!
Watching the ten o'clock news right now, they started the half hour coverage with a live report from downtown San Antonio where power went out at The Tower of the America's, leaving a loaded elevator stuck and hospitalizing some of its occupants with heat exhaustion!
People attempted to make it down a
thousand flights of stairs, one lady with a pacemaker even! She made it only half way before her knees gave and she was carried, in turn, by five of the bus boys from the tower restaurant down the remaining 500 flights.
Other than the heat exhaustion, there were no other injuries, but the tower is
dark, it's only source of current power coming from emergency generators used to get the elevators down!
