First go to the deep-gnome village and help them with their 'problem' - your reward will be a 'lightstone'

This will allow you acsess to Adalon's Lair, which is just past the point where you were ambushed

She will disguise you and give you a way to enter the Drow City - which is behind the locked doors (they will open when you arrive in diguise) - in return for a little help with a problem.
