I used to love watching (live) baseball games almost as much as I loved playing the game.
Since the strike in 1993, I have not watched, listened to, or read about a professional baseball game. During that labor dispute, I felt no sympathy for either party. Both were wrong. The only "victims" were the fans.
In my honest opinion, I believe there are too many teams now and the season is far too long. Money, as well as quality of play issues, could be resolved if there were 10 to 12 teams in each league. That way, guys who should be nothing more than good career triple A players would not be making millions and parents could afford to take the family out to a game.
Sorry about climbing onto my soapbox... I really loved this stupid game...
