Hmmm...not much I can add to the already excellent posts up here, but I'd say one of Ironworks' strong points is that it's very much like an online family. Yes, we may disagree from time to time, or have little quirks that get on each other's nerves, but let anyone from outside start picking on one of our members and BAM! They don't stay around for long!

I felt that sense of solidarity last night during that killer storm. When I got back online, I was overwhelmed with the amount of concern and support that had poured out. At the time, I was so terrified, I hardly knew what I was posting, just that it was important that I get a message out to someone.

Yes, we do care about and support each other while we're online. Maybe we learn and grow as well...that makes it doubly positive.

And, IMO, it doesn't matter a jot whether you're an "ancient" or a "newbie." It's what you've contributed to Ironworks during your tenure that makes one stand out, as far as I'm concerned. Others may disagree with me here, but that's my opinion, and I'm stickin' to it.
