LOL, I never thought about that! Gnomes as evil...hm, yes, maybe some of the deep dwellers. Well, Jan's no beaut, but he's a scream to have with the party, and as a mage (illusionist) and a thief he can be invaluable, if you're main character's not a thief or theif multi/dual class to begin with. One thing: he will start bellyaching if you're rep gets too high. He *is* Chaotic Neutral, after all.
