Remember that the Paladin can only spend two points in each proficiency class, so you can make him proficient both in the two-handed swords and warhammers. But I suggest that you choose the Carsomyr, a better weapon, IMO, plus that there is only a few good warhammers to choose from, and you get the Crom Faeyr so late in the game.
