Eh? Detecting secret doors is an innate ability, and Detect Illusions has nothing to do with it. Theives get a 100% chance to detect secret doors while in detect mode, and a base 15% chance of detecting secret doors when not in detect mode.
Elven Thieves get a 20% bonus.
Dwarves Thieves gets a 10% bonus.
Halfling Thieves get a 5% bonus.
Mages get a 5% chance to detect secret doors.
Fighters get a 10% chance to detect secret doors.
Clerics get a 10% chance to detect secret doors.
How else do you think us non-thief soloists detect secret doors? It is all in the manual.
Detect Illusion has nothing to do with detecting secret doors, and it is in my opinion, mediocre. This is because it is not a passive skill, but an active one. A character can cast True Sight and proceed to do other stuff, a character must maintain Detect Illusions or else it is useless.
