"Just out for himself with no regard for rules" thats neutral evil, Chaotic Neutral is more like madness, which means that if you are chaotic neutral, you are randomly nice one moment, and insanely evil the next, or maybe you're not, maybe you spend one year one way, and another year another, or maybe you change from one second to the other, or maybe you don't, Chaotic Neutrals are dangerous unpredictable people who are more or less insane and random in all of their actions, except that sometimes they're not.
