Now to the topic.
Bards are fun to play.They get some wizard spells and can use any weapon.They have pick pockets and can wear up to chain mail.
However bards are NOT tanks.
They are best used as a backup spellcaster who boosts the party with his song and attacks from the rear.
The possible exception is the blade who with the right preparation can be a killing machine.
