The best blunt weapon in the game is the Crom Faeyr.
As for swords, many people seem to favor the Blackrazor (is that the correct name?) *slight spoiler ahead* you get it near the very end by making an evil choice, though it also may be possible to pickpocket the owner.
However, the most powerful sword, and indeed, weapon in the game must be the infamous Killsword, but you only get that by cheating, plus it takes the fun out of the game.
Me, I like the Holy Avenger, but I also like playing paladins. The two-handed Silver Sword is also great, and itīs not class-specific. I recommend you try to get that one (hint: donīt kill Saemon Havarian, and go back with him when you finish Spellhold).
