VAX and UNIX are widely related, as I am told (never worked on VAX !), so you should not find getting a new job that much of a problem.

I have some Unix experience, but not much (although PERL is quite nice - tricky but nice). VMS and Vax C/Basic/COBOL are all usable on the newer Alpha boxes. My code is easily maintainable, although my testing needs work on occasion. My Analysis skills are tippety-top and I have had a number of discussions with customer/suppliers on such things.
