I sided with the Thieves Guild. Already gave 'em the money. But my guy is a chaotic evil priest of Talos. He's bound to snap on occasion. So I waltzed up to Renal Bloodscalp, shot him full of lightning, and began killing all the thieves.

No problem, right? Here comes Arkanis Gath to put blades in all of our innards, then we reload, no one has attacked the shadow thieves, and Aran isn't hostile.

Except...

I had just found out that you can put any NPC in your party with the CTRL-Q command. So I ctrl-q Arkanis when he shows up. Boom he's in my party, but he still comes after my main guy to kill him. So I pause again and check out Arkanis' inventory.

He's got a sword. I try to take it out of the weapon slot. The comp says you cannot remove that item. Ok. So step one: I put the gauntlets of fumbling on him. Step two: I go back to the main screen, and take control of Arkanis - still paused. I notice he doesn't have a weapon in his other hand. So I select his fist as his weapon, and unpause. Now he still attacks my main character, but he can't hit him anymore - I don't know if this is because he is using his fist, or because his dex dropped too low or what.

Now Arkanis wanders around with me, and he sticks super close to my main character, so its looks pretty funny.

I get tired of him, boot him from the party. He comes over and says bye, then he walks off.

No more Arkanis Gath problem.

But now I have amajor, seemingly unsurmountable Aran Linvail problem. He turns hostile everytime I see him. I guess cuz I killed Bloodscalp, et al.

I can summon him CLUA, and he'll talk to me like its the first time we met (tells me to go see the Mookster at the docks), then after we finish talking he immediately turns hostile.

No matter what I do, he won't move to the next sequence of conversation, no matter how many times I watch Mook get obliterated by Lassal.

I can't charm or mentally dominate Aran - he always saves - and I don't know if that would make any difference.

Is there a solution to this? Or must I go way back to a save from 20 game days before?
