Definitely a drunken thief, fighter/thief or ranger/thief, if at all possible

I like Rangers and thieves so that'd be a cool combo, if it's not in the rules then no prob's and you decide which is best for the party. I take it levelling up and applying thief skill points etc works the same as in BG2?
