I've never come across anti-D&D sentiments of a religious nature. As Stealthy said, if you mention you play you're likely to get a strange look if you're over the age of 13, but other than that, no problems.

I don't know that many people who are Christians either, but those I have met have always been tolerant, rational, unzealous people. I respect people's beliefs in the same way I expect others to respect my atheism, and I try to judge people by their actions, not their religion.
Just as a matter of interest, my immediate family are all pagan and are also tolerant, rational, unzealous people! I think it has more to do with individual people than what creed you follow. A lot of terrible things are done in the name of religion - but the link with religion is to try and justify or popularise those actions - which are almost always politically, not religiously, motivated.
