Hmmm... I think there was a similar post a few weeks back, with the same problem of the person's main character bursting into flame... I don't think anybody found out what it was, though...

You get to turn into the Slayer at will soon. Just wait, and you'll gain the ability. And I don't think you lose spells, just that your reputation goes down a point each time you use it.
