People leave for all sorts of reasons. From reading Rikard's post I think he's probably upset that people leave because they feel that they may not be getting as much attention as they would like (Rikard tell me if I've totally misunderstood your post).
What I would like to say is that it's reality that the board has gotten so big it's hard to be as personal with everyone as we would like. As a mod I'm reluctant to spam in the BG2 forum because I don't want to set a bad example, so apologies if I don't greet people I know there. But like I said, the board has 850+ members already - that's well more than double the members in the old board, so we can't always respond to people we know. That doesn't mean that we don't care, so don't think otherwise, ok?
Please don't leave because you feel you're unloved - because your status isn't weighted by the amount of posts you have that people respond to.
