1. It raises the dead!!! If one of your characters dies, cast raise dead on them to bring them back to life!
2. If you have abilities drained, they will come back after a time. If you have a level drained you need to have a restoration spell cast on you whether by one of your own characters or at a temple.
3. Never had a familiar, so I don't know much about it.
