I swear that Microsoft and Intel have something going; where MS creates a new Operating System which is slower so we have to buy a new Processor.. REALLY!! I mean, go load up Windows 3.11 on a P3 500, sheesh, it blazes! Same for win95.
Then you get to Win98, you see a slight slowdown, but going to WinME or Win2000, it's like you're cutting your speed inhalf. sucks!
