Michael Praed was the first Robin in the series - he was much better, as Jason Connery was IMHO a bit too pretty to be a really convincing outlaw! He was still quite good though. I liked the way that when Praed left the series (to go and do Dynasty I think?) they didn't try to have another actor play the same character, but killed him off and brought in a new 'Robin' as the outlawed Robert of Huntingdon to take his place.
Cloudy, I don't know if the series has been screened anywhere else, but the fansite below advertises a fan convention in the states, so it must have a following! It has never to my knowledge been rerun on terrestrial TV here, but I did catch the whole thing again a couple of years ago on an English cable channel, Carlton Select, which I no longer get!
