Under normal circumstances a typo or mispell isn't humorous, but in this case it was priceless. When spelled properly (I'm using your spelling here for effect) "mamories" are the glands of a womans breasts. So when I read "They taught him well"...."and he grinned at the mamories". I doubled over laughing.
