MOIRAINE
You have the patience I´m looking forward to gain, you described the essantials I was trying to give back at the older thread with well things you write on a tissue substance

Well there is also one more thing to add, and well I will tey to take my time on this

PRESTIGE CLASSES

Well a prestige class doesn´t really work as a multiclass or a kit like in BG2, but is like another class like fighter but with this you "forsake" one level to gain a prestige class level. These lvls doesn´t count in multiclass terms no XP losses. A prestige class requires some prerequisits (pew) to be met before you can have it. The prestige classes described in the Dungeon master guide are:
Arcane Archer
An archer that has the power of both being able to shoot the bow (duh) and also cast arcane spells at least to lvl 1. Compare it to the Amazone in Diablo2, different arrow shots and such.
Assasin
Well a sneaky bugger that can do cripple attacks as well as death attack as well as sneak attacks (the new name for backstabbing) Though an assasin must be of evil alignment thay are hreat for the Dm to throw in if your players are getting to cocky..
Blackguard
An evil doer, the black knigt and also if Paladin, Antipaladin.
This is the great villian, the epitome of evil bla bla he´s so cool bla bla hehe well he is!
Dwarven Defender
Well a dwarven warriors dream. These guys are better than walls, sturdy fighters that are excellent on standing their ground.
Loremaster
Something for mages, taken from Greyhawk. Gets more spells and such. Can also do some nice little tricks.
Shadowdancer
The rouge class extra class for survival and despair for the DM, these guys uses any shadows to do tricks like shadow door, hide in plain site and such. Have to be a stealthy dude with a nice act..

Well these classes are described, but you can get some more at www.wizards.com like Harper prestige class. I have that one if anyone is interested in PDF format, ready to mail!

Most prestige classes requires that you have choosen some "feats" a way o make your character stronger better and to have a greater difference between characters of the same class. They´re like high-power skills.
Most characters have to be at least lvl 7 or more before they can choose to have a prestige class.

SKills, a big debate, well I have to agree with Moiraine, it gives the game a new way to be played, you can´t simply stumble out in the big woods carring a Platemail and a sword and hope for the best if you don´t have the right skills. It also brings more character developement and better roleplaying because you can use more skills to "beat" your opponents than just by waiting for the right time to kill ém all!!
