Yorick, didn't you mention somewhere that you had a gig coming up ?
How did that go ? And how do you go about organizing your opportunities to perform, do you just go to bars and clubs and ask or do they contact you ?


On being unable to see Singaporeans as Chinese anymore: I have never been to Asia, but I watched a wonderful movie, Chungking Express, that is set in Hong Kong, in '95 or '96. Upon leaving the cinema my overwhelming feeling was: "Wow, they seem so westernized in the way they feel and act, how are they going to cope with having to live under mainland China's rule soon ? "


(Yes, I noticed that for your description of how you experienced the Singaporeans "westernized" wouldn't be the right fit and that you also meant to say that they have developed their national identity.)
