I recently picked up an immaculate original copy of Fallout 2 for $8 AUS, which I'm mighty pleased about, having really enjoyed the first game last year. It took me long enough to find a copy of the first game though! It seriously is a beautifully and intelligently written rpg with some great dark humour and solid roleplaying interaction. Begs replaying actually, which I might do after I get into the sequel!

The time limit didn't affect me when I played it, thankfully and I wasted alot of time exploring. There's also a chance to to obtain a time extension to ease that stress.

I even downloaded the soundtrack to keep experiencing its post-apocalyptical ambience whenever I feel a bit nostalgic for it, which is kind of odd, since it was only last year.

I'm semi-optimistic about Fallout 3, I just hope that some similar philosophical visions and character driven themes appear to make the game as compelling as the original.
