DL was a perfectly adequate game. It has elements of CRPGs that are appealing to lots of us, but it was lacking a few things that kept it from being a stellar game. If you do get it, make sure you get the latest patches. It is much less entertaining without them.
Also, make sure to play on the lowest monster generation setting. Trust me... the constant battles get to be very, very boring...
It used to have a forum here, but it died off. If you post other questions in the Misc Games forum, I know that you'll get more responses.
Sadly, DW Bradley didn't hit a home run with this one... I'm not even sure it counted as a bunt. But it did have fun for at least a while... just not the replay-ability that some of the classic games (BG, W&W, MM, and so on) show.
If you can pick it up in a bargain bin, it's worth it. I certainly wouldn't pay full price (and sadly, I did, way back when).
And I'm not trying to discourage you... just don't expect it to be the next great thing. It's the next adequate thing [img]smile.gif[/img]
