Bummer indeed. I didn't load DL into the default directory but was lucky enough not to run into this problem.
I did discover that you can jump on top of the walls of Fargrove (from inside) and then jump off into never-never land. Same actually when you are on one of the floating islands.
Doomed to wander ether space forever, I guess.
