I played this and completed it while I was here in the US, around Lady Blue's place - on her xbox, and honestly, I'm not happy. I know that people had warned me about a lot of stuff being cut out, but even though I was warned, I didn't expect it to be *quite* so unfinished.

My main grievance is about the end boss... yeah, her. And the other two sith lords. It doesn't seem to matter what alignment you "play" after you get your prestige(sp) class... and it doesn't seem to matter if you try to turn them or not. It doesn't seem possible to save any of them! Why not? Okay, granted, you can't save everyone, but... what was the POINT of all that influence if you can't?

Speaking of influence... what is the point of it to begin with? My only use for it was to get the others to open up and tell their backstory, and turn Handmaiden into my Jedi Apprentice.. but the options it opened up really were no good. And why were they always there? Shouldn't they have faded after you talk to them? Having the same old conversations grows old.

The other thing that got me in a major way was HK. By the time you get enough parts to repair him, none of the robots show up and his main "quest" just isn't there.

It also annoyed me that if you gathered the Jedi council and choose the option "I've come to kill you all" there's no way you can - its always *her*. The only way to kill them is to "go darkside" and assassinate them all one by one.

Speaking of Jedi... why does the game kick up *such* a fuss about building a lightsaber, but by the time you get one... its really far into the game - and soon after, lightsabers just come flooding in. Its really irritating. For the first part of the game, you don't get one when you need it, and for the second, you still don't get enough to arm your companions - and then they all come flooding in. It's absurd. And why were most of the lightsabers in the game purple? Maybe its because I told Atton that's what my lightsaber colour was - and why oh why, wouldn't Atris give it back to me? I want my original lightsaber to have with my new one! So annoying. Heh, its a pity you couldn't choose "red" for your original lightsaber colour.

But yeah, all in all, I'm not impressed with Kotor 2. It may not have been smaller then Kotor 1, but it felt it. In many, many ways. It could have been so much more... sigh. It's a pity that all the planets you visit *must* be part of the main quest. It would have been nice to have a few without the main quest. Ah well. My only real question is, is it worth buying for the PC when I get back home, given that restoration patch that's out?

All in all, I'd give it a 6 out of 10. The new lightsaber forms and force powers (barring force crush) weren't that great...

So, what did everyone else think?

Edit: I won't even go into that BS about Raven... or why the game won't let you kill Carth Onasi or Bastlia, not that I would, but... it'd be nice to have the option. That's something else that got me - you can enter your name as "Raven", or "Malak" or any other, in both games... they shouldn't have allowed that, imo.
And the ending movies (both light and dark) weren't that great either.
Edit 2: It's cute how you find yourself with a swoop racer and no explanation of how you can swoop, let alone how it got there... maybe your predecessor left it behind just like she said he left all his machines behind...
