[Pirengle]

I'm getting close to the end of Chapter 2 (so I think) and I'm deep inside the Bevelle temple, looking for Vegnagun I guess. I get to the part where I unlock the seals or turn off the switches or whatever it is, defeat the mini-boss that pops out of the portal thingy, and jump down the ledges to the passageway about halfway down the portal thingy wall. Is there anything to do down here besides random encounter? I've tried talking to LeBlanc and crew again but they just babble on about guarding the passageway. What gives?
