Just got this today.
Great Game!!! Possibly the best game ever!!!
Currently almost defeating the Gaul's in the north. I sent my grandson up there to take there capital. He is now a good a general as is granddad. For some reason people in the senate are jealous of is military victories. FUN STUFF!!!! I am proud of that boy unlike my other grandson who has a singel influence as a state, what a useless boy, I don't even think we could be related.
I am pretty old for a Roman almost 60 so I am expecting to pop off anytime now. Will I die of old age in this game if I am not eventually killed in battle? If so might as well head north to lead a final battle.
Have not had a problem with money yet. I usually head into provinces with a mediocre army and then hire mercenaries who I send into battle first. Since most of them are usually killed I don't have to pay many of them again the next turn.
The Senate wanted me to blockade a neutral port to the south. I swear they are trying to get me to fight a war on two fronts.
Anyone tell me what dogs are like. I have been thinking about adding some to my armies to chase down fleeing troops, but they are quite expensive. Is it better to just recruit more calvery?
