If you don't mind old DOS game, you can try the "Realm of Arkania" trilogy.

1. You HAVE to create your own party. The pre-generated ones are a mixed bunch

2. Yes, all combats are turn based

3. A good selection of spells but some of them are not so fun nor useful.

4. It is a huge world. Some town locations are not marked and you will have to discover it by yourself.

Otherwise, get a copy of Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic and you might just fall in love with it.
