ADD] Did I mention that nobody is "plot-vital" in FO2 save your own villagers? Even then, the developers did not cop out. They anticipated that the gamer would try to massarce their own villagers, and scripted appropriate dialogues and gave a proper ending for it (YES, it is considered an alternative ending).

In one game, I killed every mother, father, son, daughter and sentient/non-sentient creature I could find except my own villagers. Be the person be a thug or saint, he/she/it ate cold steel through the extreme usage of Bozars and Vindicators (with Plasma Grenades and Mega Power Fists thrown in for fun). NPCs? What fortunate joy it was that the game developers allowed you to kill them creatively. The Enclave? Most people would prefer to sneak through, I bashed my way through the door and challenged them all! Bring it on! *Budda* *Budda* *Budda* *Budda*

Of course... you can go about doing it the smart and sneaky way. I just relish the psycho way now and then.

Oh yeah. If you kill a shopkeeper, you get what's in his/her store. Unlike BG2 where shopkeepers seem to store their inventory in hammerspace.

I could go on and on about how much I like Fallout 2... but it would be hard to extol some of its' virtues without starting to spoil too much.
