i'm not sure just how it works, since i installed it after i was halfway through the game, but in the Guarded Compound in the Temple District you get an additional dialog option, and Koshi drops a Rogue Stone with a big hint on it. (which can also be used to open the door) I think there is some connection to the slaver quest at the Copper Coronet, but i have not seen one so far.
