I purchased a copy of Alien vs Predator Gold Edition off half.com last week. The product was advertised as "brand new, still shrinkwrapped". When it arrived, the CD was still wrapped just as promised. But when I tried to install it, it kept asking for Disc #2 - which I did NOT get.

I contacted the seller and told them I was running XP Home Edition. They said the product only comes with 1 CD, but they sent instructions on how to try installing the game under XP's "System Compatability Wizard". NO DICE! It is still asking for the AvP Music CD (Disc 2). I contacted the seller again and told them I had browsed some of the other auctions for this item and learned that it WAS a "2 CD game". I then asked them how we could "resolve this issue". I haven't heard back from them since then. [img]graemlins/doh.gif[/img]

So I have two questions.

First, is Alien vs Predators Gold Edition compatable (or at least operable) with XP.

Second, does anyone have a copy of the game (or at least Disc 2) they no longer use. If you do, send me a PM or email and we'll work out the details.

In the meantime, looks like I'm going to have to file my first claim for a refund through half.com.
