If this is the part I'm thinking of, you take the large platform up while avoiding the ATST missiles. You bring down the platform from the little control room next to it. You take control of the gun turret up top and blast the ATST to smithereens. There will be a second one. You have to lure it back to where you can blast it again. That part is actually pretty easy compared to the rest of the game.
Another minor spoiler or two...............
The water filled electrified room and force jumping from post to post while under heavy machine gun fire drove me nuts! The guy in the power suit was a #$*&*% too!
