And Fallout Tactics does NOT suck. Its just a different type of game that the normal post-apocalypse CRPG ... its more of a strategy / tactical combat game. Its more like the Jagged Alliance games than a crpg.
Oh it does. And here are some points why it does.
It's inconsistent with the Fallout time line. Intelligent deathclaws at that point ?
Repetitive as hell.
Really bad looting system. Guys falling on top of eachoter and you are not able to loot all of them. Gets really annoying when you have to play a mission again because you can't find a key due to this.
The special random encounters are dumb. Just comic relief for the most part and nothing to get. At least the Fallout RPG RE's had something to find or get in them.
Real time combat was booring. Just set your settings and hope for the best.
In TB combat, your enemies were on overwatch all the time. Meaning that if you come from some sort of cover, they shot you without it being their turn. But this was only the case for your enemies. The player didn't have this choice. Only was it given to the player to get the first shot in. Makes looking for cover a bit unnecesary.
Not a lot of replay value. Play it once and you've basically seen and done it all.

The thing that ticked me off mostly about his post was that he said that Fallout tactics was Fallout 3 when it isn't. Even IPLY says it isn't.
