go into: My Documents/MY Games/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivon
Next you will see the save games file, cut and past it in C drive then go back to :
My Documents/MY Games/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion
and delete the Rest of the Oblivion file.
go back to the C: Drive where your main Oblivion game is and delete the whole Oblivion file
EVERYTHING in it all you need to keep is the Save Game file I had you place in the main C file.

Now try to reload the game from the start it should work.

After you reinstall the game take your save game file and go to the new
My Documents/MY Games/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion file and then paste the
save game file in it. It will ask if you want to replace the existing save
game file say yes! After that close out of all the files and go play the game.
