It's very simple compared to Morrowind. The MQ, that is. And a lot shorter too. But i always knew i was only gonna play the MQ with my first character and let the rest make up their own career. Which is where ES games really shine. I've just started my second, a mage, and already i'm enjoying the absence of responsibility. The emperor is dead! What emperor?
This game could've been much better? I have to agree with that. With Morrowind, it seemed like there were large pieces of the game mechanics left out by the devs. It was almost as though they expected the mod community to patch up what they'd no time or inclination to include. But after seeing such a huge range of morrowind mods to suit every gaming taste, you realise that it is in fact impossible to create a game that is everyone's cup of tea. There's always been blanks to fill in ES games, and Oblivion is no different. But i still can't help but wonder what might have been...
