Unfortunately, it's also present in new games. I just tried a full reinstall (I didn't get very far in the game,) and the same problem pops up. So I'm thinking it must be linked to my computer itself. However, since I can't play Oblivion, I've been playing BG2 and have been having no problems.

ding! that told me enough. go to controls, and go back to defaults. That will fix it. (Then remap again). something went wrong..
If that doesnt do it, unplug and disable any items in your windows task manager--that deal with joysticks or other input devices. but I think remapping will fix it. [/QUOTE]I just tried that, unfortunately, same old same old. There are no auxiliary controllers hooked up to the computer, and there haven't been since I reformatted the two drives when I upgraded. The only things in my Windows taskbar are Norton AntiVirus, a printer (through the network), and that annoying Messenger thing. This is really bugging me. I don't think it's a keyboard thing since when I write a character's name, it types fine and as per normal.
