Sprit I own over 500 PC games and have never
ever had this problem. This is a rumor created
in some forum argument. I wish I could find the
news report to prove it to you, But I own a number
of different computers none as powerful as my
newest but I own a pent 4 2.4Ghz with a nVidia
5900 and a pent4 2.4Ghz with a ATI 9600pro and
the 2 are rated pretty much the same. There isn't
any visual difference with them setting next to
each other with the same games loaded on each.
Both of these computer Were gifts to my son from
me so his friends as well as myself can play
different games together on one of my internal
networks that we set up in his room.
My son and I use to go around and around about
ATI & Nvidia and we both came to the conclusion
that the best card is the one you have at the
time and when you put one next to another that
are made by different companies with similar
stats it all boils down to which one you think
is best.
As far as Compatability problems Both have these
same so called problems such as the ones in guild
wars where the game was designed with all ATI
equipment many nVidia card didn't function well
at all in the game until a patch was made for
nVidia cards. Call of Duty had the same type
problems with nVidia cards when it first came out.
So it really doesn't matter what game your playing
There are conflicts with every video card, every
Microprocessor and every sound card no mater who
makes them. You need to over come them and use
what ever equipment you can afford or which ever
you prefer to use and if you like one use it but
I'm really tired of all the bull crap about one
computer componet being beter than another because
for every fault you can find with someone's
equipment they, can in turn find fault with yours.
So what it all boils down to is who gives a flying
monkey fart whos is best, if it work for you then
use the damn thing no mater what the reason is.
I use ATI for one reason: It works for me and I've
never ever had a problem with then and the nVidia
Cards I own I've never ever had any problem with
them eighter I just like the Name "ATI Radeon"
and that's really the only reason I buy them over
nVidia! Oh and the fact that nVidia sounds more
like an Orange juice drink than a video card maker.
