The original Morrowind theme is indeed a beautiful, majestic piece of music. The only roleplaying themes which come close to its power off the top of my head would be Ultima Ascension soundtrack, which I believe really pioneered this style of music.
I'm not sure what to make of this particular Oblivion theme - just sounds like an orchestralised sped up version of the Morrowind title theme in the opening. Becomes nicely subdued however, by the conclusion.
Hopefully the soundtrack will as lovely and as memorable as Morrowind, but it is a hard one to live up to. We'll have to play it by ear, I think. [img]smile.gif[/img]
