The page you link to praises Blizzard but talks of being dissapointed that WoW wasn't what WC1-3 was (although for me it is the most finely polished and well managed MMO I've played to date).
I guess they mean historical immersion and real RP experience? Okay I can understand that and while I agree WoW is RPG 'lite' so are almost all MMO's and this one has more in it than most. For the hardcore RP experiences these days one has to look to offline games (such as Oblivion above) since alot of what is in single player cannot work in a multiplayer environment.
Maybe I missed the point? From my experience they do listen and act on the needs of the player, making changes accordingly.

No what I'm saying is that Blizzard has gone completely overboard. They've beaten the horse dead now for quite sometime. I wasn't talking about how WoW was a dissapointment compared to the other WC titles. To me, WoW is crap. Its fun to play, but it is quite pointless. And Blizzard continues to disappoint me, and their fanbase. I'm sick of Warcraft. I love the world that Christ Metzen created (mostly all of the lore was Chris Metzen) but Blizzard took it too far.
People will call WoW a success. They always will. But it is severely lacking IMHO. And while other MMO's may be the same, I'd be happier if Blizzard took MMO's in a new direction. The least they could do to regain some of their old honor. What I want from Blizzard, what I truly want is a new title. Something new and fresh. No more Starcraft, Diablo, and for the love of pete no more Warcraft.
Bethesda has always been remarkable. They are the shining star in the gaming industry. They aren't dicked around by publishers and chairmen forcing a release date. They do things their way and always have, always will. Blizzard is a slave to Vivendi. Many of the poor decisions were made by Vivendi, because what they say goes. But I also feel that Blizzard, as a gaming developer, doesn't do their part.
And BioWare doesn't even compete in the marketing area when it comes to NWN. It will never. BioWare doesn't have the fame of Blizzard (although I think it should), especially now that Blizzard is a major contestant in the gaming universe. They over merchandise like crazy and take things too far. And I really don't think Blizzard listens to their audience that much. I've been following WoW since it was first announced (back in 2001/2002). There have been many complaints with Blizzard. And their timing for releasing things.... WCIII TFT was an absolute nightmare. Lets leave it at that. They really pissed off everyone.
