First rule of adventuring: always save before entering a dungeon.

That said, dunno why you didn't team up with whatshername, since that was, after all, part of the job. Whenever you're told to help or partner with someone, do that or you won't get credit.

I don't know of any way to set flags for quests being done, though there may be. All I can suggest is that you go back to Vas and try talking to her and "teaming up". That may help. Or partnering and going into the dungeon.
