I agree, combining any form of invisibility with an attack is incredibly unrealistic. A fellow poster on this board described vampire's reactions as: "Hey, do you hear that chanting? Aaaaargh..." What, are they just supposed to stand there and not to anything until they die? Cheep! Cheep!

Be a man--Look them in the eye (or at least run away slowly) while Turning Undead. It's actually very powerful at Level 15 and up--I've destroyed Vampires, Turned Liches, all that good stuff. The very best are Devil Shades (I think that's what they were), because when they explode, they spawn a pair of Shadow Fiends, which of course explode 1 second later. Kablooie!

Jan, your complaint seems to be "The wuzz left undead and got smacked in 2 seconds." Don't let his AI tell him to attack the vampires instead, just change or turn off his AI for the time being. What level is his Turn Undead?
