Confession: decided to boost the difficulty, and as a 'reward' for myself, hid out for a month with courprus, resulting in 130 str, 130 end [already had 100 in each].
First fight after wards [the Magus staff sub-quest Ajira tells you about], 3 dagoths, 2 wizard women, no real problem taking them out, BUT my str. dropped to 118, end didn't change.
And no amount of casting restore atribute or using the imperial altars helped.
So I'm thinking the inflated stats from courprus can't be restored, OR my game is being buggy-- not impossible, as my bound longsword, bow and cuirass remain in my inventory even when I take off the item I enchanted them to, though the spear still comes and goes as it should.
Happily, reloaded an earlier save, stats were there, did the dungeon over. Stats didn't drop this time, but I'm wondering if this is as it should be, or if I'm going to have to save often and watch the numbers closely.
